(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Decatur County Community Garden is seeking donations to continue serving the community.

The garden is located beside the Decatur County Health Department and was created to provide fresh food to those who may not have access.

It provided over 700 pounds of produce to the community this past season.

“Our raised beds provide free, fresh produce to anyone who needs it, and our wildflower garden supports local pollinators that help our harvests thrive. The space has also become a hub for volunteers, education, and joyful connection,” the organization said.

The organization has launched a donation drive where they are seeking $600 to purchase soil, mulch, tools, and seeds, and to also maintain the infrastructure, including paved pathways and raised beds designed for all abilities.
