Rookie grower just started this lovely adventure about a month ago. The cacti (30 plus) in my grow tent after finally getting things dialed in better and fighting off some mealys and thrips and spider mites 😡 (fuck them) I got my first pup!

This is silly to ask probably but how can I encourage more pups to grow on the rest of my cacti? Is it just time and water and maybe add more nutrients?

Any advice is welcome and I appreciate the input!!! Here's a Pic of the little prick 🌵

No all jokes aside though most of it I really do think is up to the plant, there are some studies as well as personal accounts that suggest that certain fertilizer agents (urea nitrogen, yes like in urine hence the pee joke sorry 😅) can induce pupping. Depends on the cactus itself, age and environmental factors. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
