I have three types of lettuce growing in this bin. I have red lettuce, iceberg lettuce, and bibb lettuce. I can clearly recognize the red lettuce, and I'm assuming that the green leaves are the bibb lettuce. So what are the long, skinny ones? Iceberg lettuce? And why are they growing like that? They look more like onions, or long grass to me. Is this normal?

Iceberg lettuce has a big head and would have trouble growing in a pot with others, I’m assuming that’s some grass that got in there at some point not to sure tho
That is indeed just grass.
It’s grass. Pull it out if you want your greens to thrive.

Romaine
Definitely grass
The lettuce leaves look a bit like my merveille Des quatre saisons but there’s grass too…
