Welcome to Chillin 101. We hope this video helps. Start by recognizing a standard trading card measures 2, 5×3, 5 in. Keep the card clean and dry before you modify it. Cut the card vertically to use the three 5 in side as a small protective frame. Use scissors or a craft knife carefully when cutting the plastic coated edge. Punch a 1/4in hole near the top for staking. Mount the card on a 2-in wooden or bamboo st to anchor it in soil. Prepare planting rows with seeds placed at recommended spacing and depth for each variety. Insert a 2-in st beside each seedling. Then slide the punched card onto the st. Position the top edge of the card about three 5 in above the soil to shield seedlings from wind. For small herbs, space shield 6 in apart. And for larger seedlings, space them 12 in apart. Adjust card angle for morning sun to allow five hours of direct light daily. Monitor the seedlings daily and check moisture under each card shield twice a day. Remove or replace a card after 2 weeks or once the plant shows true leaves and stronger stems. If heat builds, tilt a card 25% toward the sun to reduce midday overheating and improve air flow. Reuse old trading cards as durable bed markers, soil scrapers, or small drip shields to save money. This repurposing keeps costs near zero and Thanks for watching. Consider subscribing if we helped
