So funny enough, I forgot about this company, and nobody recommended it in the comments of my last post. I’ve decided to go with a custom Spectral Design light for this setup. I have a friend who has one on a 36x18x36 (I actually talked him into buying a Spectral Design light) as well as an older customer who uses their lights on all of his dart frog setups. They have nothing but praise for the company, and from what I’ve seen in person the products are very very cool. The Kessil and Jungle Dawn fixtures were tempting, but with those I’d be spending close to $500 for the lighting I want, whereas a custom Spectral Design light that does everything I want it to do should be around half the price. Worst case scenario I can use the SD light on one of my other shorter vivs.
That being said, I’m curious as to whether anyone else has used SD products in the past. I haven’t heard anything negative, but I’ve only got the two friends who have lights.
