Here’s how to build a simple stepped farm design. You can grow wheat, carrots, beetroot, potatoes, nether warts, sweet berries, glow berries, melon, and pumpkin here. There’s also a ton of storage outside.
I hope you enjoyed this minecraft build and maybe even inspired you for your future creations. Feel free to give me some build recommendations and tips, or even questions in the comments below.

Hello!
Today, we’ll be building a Simple Stepped Farm Design. It has enough space to grow a variety of crops. There’s even a ton of storage on the outside walls. Shaders, textures, music, and materials list will be in the description. This shows the column heights. To start, we need to build the columns on the brown wool using stripped spruce logs. The first will have 2 blocks. We’ll place a lantern on top of most of them. They will go up by one block after each one. The 4 brown wool all the way at the back won’t have lanterns. Next, place leaves going around the build, starting next to the 3 block tall columns. On the orange wool at the front, place oak stairs on them. On the row above the leaves, place stripped oak logs to connect the columns. Place oak fences on top. The next wall segment will move the stripped logs up by one. We’ll utilize the gap below as storage using barrels. Continue this pattern until you get to the other side. Keep in mind, the wall segment next to the stairs by the front has no barrels. On the orange wool inside, place oak planks with oak slabs on top. These will act as stairs to the next layer. The planks fill a weird gap from the farmland. We use slabs instead of stairs to prevent the chance of breaking crops. For the orange wool at the back, place the planks with a gap between the wool. Over the white wool, place a row of stripped oak logs. Do the same for the ones at the back, just one block higher this time. Let’s work on the first four crop plots. Place water on the blue wool and waterlog an oak slab.
Then, place a composter on top. The next 3 layers will be similar but raised by 1. Make sure to place a dirt block on the blue wool to elevate the water. Two of the plots in the back are for melons and pumpkins. Place 2 dirt blocks on the blue wool this time. Some of the plots in the back will not be turned into farm land. If you want to turn them into grass, make a staircase like this. In this section, we’ll grow glow berries. First we need to create the mossy roof. Place 2 oak fences on the 3 columns at the back. Place 3 oak fences on the one at the front. For lighting, we’ll place them here. Create the roof using moss blocks in a pyramid shape. The glow berries can be planted to grow under the moss. This section will grow nether warts. Let’s place soul sand with crimson trapdoors around. The next section will grow sweet berries. Place dirt with spruce trapdoors around. We can place some barrels next to the columns if you want to add details and storage. The melon and pumpkins will be planted like this. There is a chance they might grow into this dirt block here. Let’s replace it with an oak plank. All that is left is to plant the remaining crops. The build is now complete. Thanks for watching.
