    It’s a clove. They’re inserted whole into some foods such as ham.

    It’s a Clove Bud. Since yours is whole and still has the bud on it. Same plant, but specifically, it is more than just Clove, since that can refer to the flavor or ground spice.

    It’s a clove they use them in apple pies and sometimes put them in gammon to add flavour but it’s best not to eat them but they won’t hurt you if you do .

    Definatly a clove harmeless people have been known to hold them in thier mouth as breath fresheners

    Cloves are very good for you in small quantities and are widely used in Indian cuisine and traditional herbal medicine. 1 to 3 a day can help with various things which you can search online. As with most herbs don’t overdo it. They’re not that firm especially after being cooked in a curry so you WON’T break your crowns. They are a bit pungent so you may choose not to eat if they come up in your curry.
