🌿 This space is a labor of love, joy, and excitement—where I watch sunsets and stars, witness the growth of perennials and edibles, and savor the view while tending the garden. Sometimes I pause in the chair with a snack, just to take it all in.

Let me know what you’d plant in a space like this 🌸
In Part 2 of the Sitting Garden Series, I continue assembling the Vegega raised garden bed—a 32″ tall, 8′ long, 2′ wide bed in Oyster White. The wind made it tough to finish the build, but I share my placement plans and walk you through the sitting garden layout as it begins to take shape.

This is a space in progress—where every detail is rooted in intention and seasonal joy.

very excited. So, let’s go ahead and now build our garden beds. The garden beds, they come already then with a instructions and they give you everything that you need. Um, I am using the only thing that I would say that you need is a a screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver just to fill up the bolt u tighten up the bolts. But for the most part, you don’t you don’t really need it. You have everything that they they give you a wrench. They give you everything. So, it’s really cool. Now, let’s go ahead and get excited. The color that I got and that I selected is called the oyster white. So, I think that is so fancy. It’s so beautiful. But they come in all kinds of different colors. They have it in gray. They have it in green. They have it in. I mean, they have it in all kinds of colors. So, go check it out in Be They also come with a plastic film which is protecting them while they are, you know, transporting it. So you it doesn’t scratch. So when you get it, it doesn’t have no scratch. So you’re going to make sure to remove that plastic film. First, as I mentioned, is 32 in tall, 8 ft uh long, and 2t wide. Then we have uh four panels for the left side, four panels for the right side. So eight uh in total for the side panels and then for the panels at the end. Then we have four also total which is going to be done two in one side and two in the other side. It goes along with the theme that I like and it looks very modern and sleek and wonderful. And now we’re going to go ahead and build it. So you can read also then the complete guide which it gives you step-by-step instructions of what you need to do. So we went first into our first page and in the first page we can see that it gives us everything that we need in order for us to build it. And then the first thing that we need to do was to remove then that film which we did. And then after removing the film, then we can start then um adding then attaching all the panels. And for that, you can see that it tells us then to put the screws through the hole and place the washers inside first with the nuts. And then we can use the wrench to tight it up. So, we’re going to do that that step now. And this is the garden bed that we’re building. We’re building the We’re building then the 8 by 2 ft. This is the one that I got, but it comes all kinds of different models and the one that we have is the 32 in. So, it tells us exactly what we need to do. So, this is what we need to do. We need to be be doing the four panels over here first. Four panels over here. And then we’re going to be attaching also then the two side panels over here and the two side panels over here. We see that we also have a rod. So, four rods are going to be here, which it gives us also the rods over here. The instruction for every um assembly is going to be different for each garden bed. Ours, because we have the 32 in, we do see that we have then this garden um rods that you need to put in the center. And then for those, I see them that they’re going to be in the second panel. So, I’m going to be paying attention that first I’m going to be hooking then the flat panel to the curve. And then right in the when I’m going to be attaching the second panel to the third panel, I do need to pay attention that that’s where I’m going to be having then that nice hook over here to keep the stabilization. Okay, these are all the things that we got. Ah, it’s already getting out cuz when I I open it, I with the scissor I cut it apparently this time. So, I’m going to go ahead throw it over there because I’m like putting everything together. Now, see the wrench? We’re going to be aligning the I’m going to start with the curve. And for the curve, you’re going to be aligning them the holes together. So, the holes are in this side. I’m going to make the tight up the rods in the top and in the bottom first and then everything else. Do not super tight first because you want to just make sure that all the holes are going to be in place. And right once you have every single one with the little screws, then you can tight it up. rod, spacer, and then the little screw in the bottom wrench. And I’m using also a Phillips screwdriver just to have it more tight. And the wrench in the other side. And I’m going to use again the wrench in one side and screwriver in the other side and just tight everything in place. And every time that I see something like this, I want to go ahead and do like the batons. Yes. Because when I was young, in my early childhood, I used to be in the batons. So, shout out to everybody that was in any of the batons. Look at that beautiful sunset. That’s going to be the view of the student garden area. Okay, we’re almost done doing the garden beds, but I think I’m going to finish it up in a separate video. I will be doing a live video um of how to build in the garden beds so you can see it step by step as I’m doing it. Um so that might be done this weekend. Again, the garden beds have not been built yet, but I think it gives us such a good design or I mean it looks so cute already. So once I finish them with this, I think I’m going to put putting that, you know, once I finish with the garden bed because this is the this is the other separate section of this. It’s just for me to to see how it’s going to look. So I will put then a garden bed over here and then the other one that we have to build, which I So we’re going to be doing a live video of how to build the garden bed so you can actually see it once um step by step. So I’ll put that other garden bed over there. Yeah. cuz as you can see it’s already getting um the sunset is happening right now in the back and I know that any minute now it’s going to get really really dark and so I’m going to stop for today doing the building the garden beds and we can continue that another day and then another day we can do the whole stepbystep video live so you can see it of how to build the garden beds and then in a separate video then we’re going to be doing the whole um the whole video of how to fill the garden beds, what is it I’m going to be using that’s going to be all organic and why is it that I’m using it and all that kind of stuff. But because I don’t want to be doing just one video is really long. That’s we’re doing a garden series and we have a garden series for the sitting garden area and you can see multiple videos in there. So very exciting. This is so exciting. I am very happy that garden bed is gigantic. Uh the garden bed that we got is super super amazing. It’s a 32 in tall which is super tall already. It’s so wonderful. So you don’t have to be, you know, putting your back all the way to the floor like it happens when you have something that you are planting on the floor, which I don’t have a problem with that right now, but as we age, then it’s horrible. And sometimes I don’t even garden outside because that day I had a flare up of my herniated disc and you know, I’m not able to go outside. I’m 40 now. You know, when you get into your 40s, you’re already getting problems and when you get even more older, I cannot imagine. And I’m a person that stay pretty active, but it is so such a huge benefit to have a garden bed that you don’t have to be bending forward all the way into the floor and then of course where your knees as well, you know, kneeling. So this is fantastic. So this is 32 in tall and then 8 ft long. So it’s really long and 2 feet wide. So I mean I’m super impressed by this garden bed. As you can see, this is a pretty tall garden bed. So, you don’t have to worry that you have to be bending all the way down to be dealing with anything that you’re planting hurting your back. So, this is amazing and it gives a great structure to the garden. Absolutely love it.
