



This tree was planted by the previous owner so we are not sure what it is. Seems like a cross between a lemon and an orange. Some hopefully helpful info:
In Riverside, CA
Fruits in the late summer/fall
Fruit is mostly round with a small point
Skin color is orange/dark yellow
Branches have thorns
Flesh is sour but more flavorful then a typical lemon
Flesh color is a darker yellow then a typical lemon

Sounds a lot like a Meyer lemon.
Could be a variety of lemon citrus crosses. Lemonquat is one.
Meyers lemon is my guess. The best lemonade, lemon meringue pie, lemon squares or you can just eat them with some sugar. They are awesome. They grow a lot in that area.
