Took a video this year while baling hay and honestly the tractor deserved the spotlight. It’s newer, smooth, and probably works harder than I did. It glides along, scoops everything up, tightens the bale, lifts the tailgate, and drops it like it’s proud of itself.

We only got one cut this season because the weather kept messing with us. Every time I thought we’d finally get a second one, the sky darkened like it was trying to scare me back inside. At this point I think the clouds were trolling me.

Still, being out in the field felt good. A bit of sweat, the smell of fresh cut hay, and the baler thumping along like a giant heartbeat. You don’t get that feeling scrolling online.

I’m also a Realtor around Peterborough and the Kawarthas, so if anyone’s ever dreamed of owning a place where you can argue with the weather and pretend the tractor listens to you, let me know.
