I was recently gifted this very tall Zebra Plant that my girlfriend's mom has had for the past 5 years. From what I can tell, it needs a lot more sun and I'm wanting to chop and prop it. I've already done a bit of research, but I'm terrified of accidentally killing it. I have a few questions that I'm finding conflicting answers for.

  1. How should I go about cutting the top part?
  2. Can I root the long stem by cutting it into pieces?
  3. Do I need to let it callus before attempting to root it? How long do I need to wait if so?
  4. Should I put the non rooted props in water or soil for them to grow?
  5. Do I need to cut the flower off of the top?
  6. Anything else I should know?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
