There’s a secret with the gem egg you probably didn’t know about. The gem egg is the latest egg added to the game being seemingly an event limited egg. The first I think to not show up in the shop with like the premium or exotic versions of itself for sale. However, if you go to egg shop, you’ll see at the very bottom the gem egg, no limited sign. No event signs, nothing. So, I’m starting to think it’s a permanent addition to the game, which I think is pretty sick since I doubt I’ll be getting the ruby squid anytime soon. But, I guess I’m not in a rush now. I’m happy they’re adding more stuff. But much like the addition of the jungle egg around Halloween, I don’t know that the gem egg is very festive given the time of year we’re in. but it fits with the event and has some pretty decent pets in it.

When I hatched my first batch of 8 gem eggs on my fourth or fifth try I managed to hatch a ruby squid and it was already age 35 because I used 8 ostrichs 🙂.
