From dozens of ornate holiday trees to a mile-long path of lights, Meijer Gardens has plenty of festive fun this year.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park will be celebrating the holiday season with a lineup of festive fun.

Beginning Nov. 26, the gardens’ annual University of Michigan Health-West: Christmas & Holiday Traditions exhibit is back. Guests can explore over 40 holiday trees decorated to represent different cultures.

This showcase includes traditional storytelling, songs, cuisines, decorations and more.

Guests can also enjoy the Railway Garden, which weaves through handmade miniatures and landscapes inside the greenhouse.

Meijer Gardens leaders are excited to showcase the grounds during the winter months, when many West Michiganders may be staying home—so ENLIGHTEN will be returning for another year.

The show features light and laser displays along a one-mile path through the gardens, with some sections being interactive and synced up to festive music. The immersive experience lets guests see the gardens in a new light.

“If the first year is any indication, ENLIGHTEN promises to deliver another unforgettable season that continues to elevate Grand Rapids,” said Charles Burke, President & CEO of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. “With 80,000 tickets sold in our first year and 39 percent of attendees from outside of Kent County, ENLIGHTEN is considered a must-see event during the holidays.”

ENLIGHTEN kicks off Monday, Nov. 24 and will be available on select evenings through Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026. Find more information and get your tickets here.

Along with ENLIGHTEN, the gardens will have recurring festive events to look forward to, like meeting Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, petting reindeer and some live performance events.
