I got this sweetheart hoya five years ago. It had no root ball and was just a leaf in dirt. But I figured as long as the leaf was happy, I was going to let it do it's thing. After two years, it grew it's first root. After five years, it's become a proper plant! So this is your sign to not give up. As long as one leaf lives, the plant could live.

That is something to brag about! I get frustrated when a snake plant doesnt root after 6 months.
I want to get one sobad now.
Another plant to add to my wishlist.
I’m gonna go broke one day lol
Good job!
I have a variegated one that had two leaves when I bought it. It didn’t do anything for two years, then produced another leaf. Now 5 years later it has five leaves. They aren’t fast.
Tell me your watering ways!
Congratulations on your first root

I created this monster by neglecting it and leaving it as is.. I have about 25+ heart pedals in various sizes, keep at it. Doing just right
I usually tell customers not to buy them. Thank you for this story, now I can give them hope.
Damn! I have 2 heart leaves in a tiny pot that have done nothing for a couple years now. I was under the impression they would never grow but I keep watering them because they’re cute and easy to care for. I’ll keep up hope that one day there will be more plant!
