Hello, I would like to ask for advice regarding my Basil plant which I planted from seeds around July this year. I am concerned because its still so small at 5 months. The leaves are only about 2.5cm. Timestamps are available on the photos when you click on them.
Some information about them:
– They were sown directly on soil outdoors in summer where they get full direct Berlin sun until I brought them in around early October because of the fall temperature drops.
– In summer they were watered more frequently as the soil dry faster, and I was fertilizing them once a week.
– They were tempered when I brought them in. And now they are under a grow light, 12 hrs a day.
– Now, they are watered weekly with fertilizer every 2-3 weeks
I understand that growth significantly slows when I brought them inside but how come they're stuck at this size even at 5 months despite being outside for 4? I feel like I'm wasting resources on it.

Are you harvesting it? Basil loves heat and as much sun as it can get but if you aren’t harvesting it regularly it won’t grow big and usable. I was really hesitant to harvest my little basil at first but it was only when I started harvesting (above the lead nodes) that it really bushed out.
