One of my pots has been turned over during the night. I can’t see any obvious paw prints and nothing else has been disturbed. We live in a rural spot with all sorts of wildlife around. Would badgers do this? I can’t see any sign of bulbs being eaten.

It was me. Sorry. I was drunk. I didn’t mean to knock anything over.

Squirrels live a good dig, but it’s unlikely they would tip the pot over as well. Foxes will also dig around looking for worms and other critters.
I once had a family of foxes living behind my house (adorable) and my pots would be raided every night.
Try putting some heavy stones on the soil or ornaments.

  3. Probably did you a favour by tipping out the excess water and preventing the soil freezing and pot cracking. Leave out some treats and a thank you card. Probably a badger.

    I needed a trail-cam to solve my pot crime…..
