they will need acclimating, I’d do it in spring as you’ll likely lose the flowers very quickly

You will lose majority of leaves and flowers just couple days after you bring them back home. My ones started recovering after about 3-4 weeks. Out of 4 plants in 1 pot only 3 survived anyway.

These supermarket roses have 2 problems as a rule.
1:They usually put 3 or 4 rooted cuttings on a pot so its not really a proper single plant.
2:They are generally sprayed with a dwarfing chemical to stop-or at least delay normal growth for quite some time.
Florist Hydrangeas tend to be the same.
Of course the Supermarkets dont really want you to keep any plants they sell-its simply not in their interest.

I planted ‘disposable’ sainsbury roses in my garden
They grew quite large but were more susceptible to every fungal infection than my other roses

I planted mine out in a pot and about 6 years later it’s still alive, but never as full of flowers as originally
Sarcastic-Me
I managed to get one rooted and it’s spent several years in my garden surviving drought, rain and frosts on the south coast. It’s about 2.5ft tall now. The only problem with it is that it’s got recurring black spot…but so have all my other roses so it’s not surprising.
