They say that these types of pots have come from Rajasthan in the nursery. Very good pots. Hi, a lot of people tell me that so-called indoor plants, like Areca palm, Dumpkin, Peacelily, ZZ, Glonema. All the indoor plants that should be kept inside the house, they don’t work at all in our house. They look very good, they are also very expensive. We buy them with a lot of love, but they don’t set at all. They get spoilt, and if this is the case with you too, then we need to talk. There are some main reasons behind the spoiling of indoor plants. First, the way of caring of indoor plants, which are inside our house, and the way of caring of outside plants, like basil, curry leaves, and jaggery, is completely different. This is not rocket science, but you will have to understand. You will not get this in the shorts, for this, I will tell you in detail in the long video. Second thing, people are selling indoor plants in the nursery in a wrong way. There are some plants that are outdoor, which need sun, like jade plant, croton, but they say that this is an indoor plant, take them, they get spoilt. So you will also have to understand whether it is actually an indoor plant or not. Third thing, we are refusing, someone said that Moistura has to be watered in 6 days, someone said that Erica Palm has to be watered in 7 days, someone said that ZZ has to be watered in a week, means we have refused, that okay, it has to be watered in 6 days. We are not seeing what that plant needs, that plant has also been set at a place where it has not happened, its leaf is turning brown, it is peeling, or it has happened due to the overdose of fertilizer, or it is melting, what is it, we are not able to understand, we are just doing things. Fourth thing, a lot of care is being given to indoor plants, they don’t need care. All the so-called indoor plants, their growth is very slow, it will take months for you to see a new leaf in ZZ, and it is very natural. By giving a lot of care, that means today the plant has come, in three days some fertilizer has been given, in a week some fertilizer has been given, increase it quickly, make it dense, this does not happen. These plants are not getting spoiled, this is the biggest thing. How hard I am making this video, you have to understand it with so much love and care for your plants. Point no. 1, first of all we will understand that according to the condition of light in your house, which indoor plants can live and which cannot live. Low light, medium light, indirect dark, leave all this, understand the main. The first situation is, look at this room, there is very good light here, from 7 in the morning to 5 in the evening, there is a lot of light. I can work in normal natural light, there is good light. But look at this corner, it is on this side of the table and there is a little shade here, in a way it is dark. So this is not a bright light area. This corner has good light, this is a bright light area. This condition does not have good light here, so this is not a bright light area. There is good light here, there is good light here. There is a lot of good light in the whole window. So this situation 1 is a bright light area, you must have understood. You can plant plants in good light. Second situation, the sun is shining through the window in my house. I have kept the plants near the window and the sun is shining on them for half an hour. For example, if you have a corridor or a staircase, the sun is shining there for half an hour or an hour. So this is situation number 2, indoor plants survive in this too. Third situation, where the light is shining directly inside your room. And it is shining for at least 15-20 minutes. Like many people say that the sun shines up to our bed. We get so much sunlight that it comes inside. If these three situations are being followed, it means that indoor plants can survive in your house. Indoor plants should not be kept in the dark. I do not recommend keeping plants in the washroom and kitchen. So I will not recommend that. If situation number 1 is being followed in your house, then which plants can you keep in it? Spider, Zee Zee, Lucky Bamboo, Parlor Palm, Syngonium. I have told you about the most common plants that you can easily find in the nursery. If situation number 2 is being followed or 3 is being followed or both are being followed, then which plants will you keep in it? Number 1 plants like snake, zee zee, syngonium, spider will definitely go in it. Erycapalm, Dumpkin, Peace Lily, Satin Pothos, Golden Money Plant, Zanadu, Aglaonema, Monstera, Fiddle Leaf Fig, Rubber Plant, Calathea. Now if you don’t even get bright light in your house, then what will you do? See, plants can never survive in darkness. If you feel that there is a very dark area, if I plant a plant here and then put a grow light, then the plant does not survive. Your money will be wasted in both grow light and plant. If there is a place where there is a little less light than bright light, like I have shown this area on the side of the sofa. Here, if I put a grow light, then my plants will survive which are in the bright light area, situation number one. Point number two, whenever you buy an indoor plant, then you have to take care of a few things. First, you will buy a super healthy plant from a big nursery. You don’t have to be stingy at all, even if you have to pay 50 rupees, then it will work. But the plant should be very healthy. Second thing, many people buy a very small and cheap plant and think that we will feed it a lot, grow it very fast, make it thick, make it healthy. Here you don’t think at all, I have already told you that indoor plants grow very slowly. Third thing, you try that the plant you are buying should be in the same soil as your area soil. For example, the soil in my area is dry, so I try that the plant I get should be of dry soil. Because the red soil or the other soil is not according to our situation. But if you are not getting such a plant that is in your soil. Like sometimes it happens to me that the plant is getting very good, but it is in red soil. So I bring it, but I take good care of it. The fourth thing you should try is that the plant should be planted in a good pot. If it is in a polybag, then avoid it. If it is in a pot, but the root is bound from below, the roots are coming out, then avoid it. If it is in a crooked pot, then avoid it. Indoor plants should not be repotted in general. I have seen many times that when we go to buy Aglaonema, ZZ or Snakea, they mix 4-5 plants in a pot and sell it. Now you brought it home and took it out to repot, it all became different and spoiled. Point number 3, which pot should these two plants be put in and how big should they be put in? Because we have to keep them inside the house, we have to take care of the decoration too. See, the plants that are very dear to you or are bothering you a lot, then if there is any such plant, then put it in a clay pot. Now the biggest problem in a clay pot is that it does not look so beautiful. I have wasted so much money in a clay pot. They say that these pots have come from Rajasthan in the nursery, very good pots, they have so many problems in them, they shed so much, they are very bad. Take these basic clay pots, decorate it, paint it a little, we will see the beauty later, first this plant should live properly in our house. If you can’t keep clay pots, then you will not keep cement at all, there is no pain in keeping cement inside, there are no very good pots of cement and the second thing is very heavy, tiles can break. Now the third option is ceramic pots, ceramic pots look very beautiful, very colorful, very good, but plants do not survive in them. Only super hardy plants will survive, like jade or syngonium. Fourth is plastic pots, you can put indoor plants in good quality plastic pots, if there is no other option. Fifth is fiber pots, I have not put plants in fiber yet and I am going to put it very soon, after putting it, I will tell you what my experience is. Then comes grow bags, big no, in grow bags you do not have to put the so-called indoor plants that you have to keep in your room at all. What should be the size of the pot, this is very important, if you have bought a plant from the nursery, it is well and good in the pot, but when you are repotting it, then it should be a size bigger than the pot in which it is now, you should not put indoor plants in a very big pot, what is the reason, I will tell you now. Point no. 4, when we put indoor plants especially in our house, then some things should be taken care of, such as there should be plates under them. If it is a clay pot, then you have to take a red plate, you will not put white, it looks odd, if it is black, then it will still go with red or maroon, if it is a white pot, then white. I have also put plates under these small pots. Point no. 5, the big size plants should not be kept in the stand, like this Eryca palm of mine, if I keep it in the stand, then while cleaning it got disbalanced and this plant fell. Keep it simply on the plate, like this. Keep the small plants on a desk, on a table, on the side of the window. And the medium-sized pots, I have kept them on the table, like this and I do not disturb it again and again. I am cleaning it, I am teasing it again and again, do not do this. Clean your area slowly. Point no. 5 is how the soil of indoor plants should be. The soil of our indoor plants should not be too tight, should not be too soft, should not be too compost, should not be too much cocopeat, should not be too much sand. You understand carefully what and why we are putting. First of all, I have taken the soil available in our house. If you bring the soil of the roadside or the soil of the park, then it is not that strong, but it will work because it is fresh soil. If I have taken soil 10 times, then I will take compost 2 times. This ratio will be 1 to 5. And half of the compost we have taken, we will take cocopeat. That is, we took compost twice and we will take cocopeat once. Generally, when I make the soil of normal plants, then what do I do? I take almost half of the soil. But here I have taken very little compost and the reason for this is that the compost keeps the soil wet. Keeps it very soft, keeps it moist. And this is what cocopeat does, keeps it wet for a very long time. Our indoor plants stay closed inside the house. Neither are they getting strong sunlight, nor is the wind blowing. Now the soil of the outer plants keeps drying, we keep adding water. The soil of the indoor plants does not dry. And if we mix all these things in it, then the soil will not dry at all and the roots will rot. Now I am adding vermiculite to it. Vermiculite is also a growing medium. If you want, I will make an in-detail video on it. This is optional. I have observed that the indoor plants in vermiculite survive very well. The results are very good. And after that, the most important thing is trichoderma. Trichoderma stops fungus. We will add very little. If you do not have this, then you can also add a clean fungicide. The soil of the indoor plants, if it has excess moisture, If it has moisture for a long time, then we can see some problems in it. Like root rot. Erythroplasm sometimes melts, spreads and falls. This is the reason. Therefore, it is also important to dry the soil. See, my soil already had sand in it. This is clayey soil. We will only put sand in it, so that it does not glow separately. Now, point number 6 is watering. The first thing is that there are 2-3 ways to water all our indoor plants. The first way is, I don’t have much time. I checked the soil, I can see it is dry. I put water in it slowly. Not that you put 2-3 mugs of water and that’s it. You don’t have to do this, otherwise this water will flow and your whole room will be spoiled. Then when the water started coming down, I emptied this tray. The second way is, I filled water in a pot and filled my plant in it. We can do this in big plants too. I filled water in the pot, kept the plant and left it. And the third option is very interesting. I take all the plants outside. If you want to give fertilizer, then give fertilizer. If you want to give water, then give water. I give a lot of water. I spray it, I bathe it. I leave it outside like this for the whole day. I keep it outside for about 24 hours. When their extra water dries up, the leaves and petals get fine. After that, I put them back in their place. Spraying is also necessary on the plant. It is also necessary to clean the leaves. Sometimes it is also necessary to give fertilizer. So the third one is the best. Now there is a twist in this too. There are some plants that do not need water for a long time. If you want their good health, then do not give water again and again. Like Dumb Cane, Zizi, Snake. These are some plants that do not need water again and again. Now how will you understand that you have to give water to the indoor plant. It needs water. It is very easy. There is a very easy way to check. What you have to do is to touch the soil first. It looks like it is wet. But it is not wet. I touched it. So it is not sticking. If it was sticking, then it would be wet. So the top is dry. Now we will check whether it is dry inside or not. What is wet? So what did I do? I put a stick inside it. I put a lot inside. When it comes out, we will check whether the soil is sticking to it or not. The soil is not sticking to it. This soil is dry inside. Now suppose that your pot is so big. But its roots are up to here. Suppose the roots are up to here. You put the plant in a little big pot. You will give water. Then the upper soil will dry in some time. Because the roots will take water. But the lower soil is getting wet unnecessarily. It will get wet again and again. It will become muddy. So what will happen? Because of this mud, the upper roots also start rotting. And due to this reason, the leaves of Aglaonema, Monstera, Eureka Palm start rotting. They start turning yellow, start falling, start rotting. So that’s why I told you that the pots of indoor plants should not be too big. Point number 7 is fertilizers. All our indoor plants don’t have to grow so fast. Don’t spoil the plant by giving unnecessary fertilizers. Give any organic fertilizer once in two months. If you want to play a safe game. So you sow the food stick in it. Give seaweed liquid. Seaweed is comparatively strong. If you are giving seaweed, then mix it very well in water. Or if you take Prime Plus, then you can also give it. You can give onion peel. Onion peel has to be sieved very well. You can give mustard seeds, neem seeds, etc. There is no problem for the plant. But if you have to give, then sieve it very well in a cotton cloth. You must have noticed yourself that mustard seeds, neem seeds, etc. They have a lot of particles. Like mustard seeds have a lot of particles. So if you give it in it, then what happens is that our rooms are closed. Especially at night, there is a little smell. And when it starts melting in the soil, a little gas is also released. It feels like a little suffocation. This is my personal opinion. If you have also felt it, then tell me. So you can give it, but sieve it a little and give it well. Next point is pesticide. If you have taken care of indoor plants as I have just told you in the video, then the chances of getting insects are not equal. But if you have kept them in a dark area or there is no ventilation in your room. You don’t open the window. I have seen many people, the AC is on, the dust is coming. So they don’t open the gate. So this also starts spoiling the plants. It also starts getting insects. Second thing, once a month, take out your plant from the safer side. Make a good neem leaf and spray it. If you can’t do that, then do the plant protector. Neem oil becomes a little strong, avoid it in indoor plants. If there are insects, then the story is different. Then you will have to take out the plant, keep it separate. You will have to do the full treatment. After that, this plant will come inside your house. Once in two months, especially before the rain starts. You have to give the water from the fungicide. Next point is pruning. As such, pruning is not done in indoor plants. If any plant leaf has gone bad, then cut it and remove it. If it gets too hot, then it will go in a little stress. The leaves will go bad, remove them. When it gets too cold, then it is possible that the leaves are a little bad. Remove them. Now I am going to give you some special tips of the indoor plant. Listen very carefully. Number one, if any indoor plant is not taking care of you. You have done everything, it is not getting set. You keep it outside. And keep it at a place where there is no direct sunlight for a long time. Keep it under a light shade like a green net. Or keep it somewhere like this in the corner of the site. Half an hour to two hours of sunlight is more than enough. It will set on its own. There is no need to care much. Point number two, if any of your indoor plants. The whole year, i.e. all seasons, winter, summer, rain, all have been tolerated. So it has become permanent in your house. It will grow fast. Propagate it. But you don’t have to spray it for a year. Point number three, avoid repotting them. Don’t shift from here to there for no reason. Don’t change the pot. Don’t disturb them for beauty. But even if they are repotting. You have to repot with a lot of confidence. If you do it in fear, then that plant will definitely go. Point number four, don’t repot them again and again. Those who have kept them indoor, don’t disturb them at all. Don’t extra care. Point number five, don’t keep them in such a place.
