Earthworms can “travel” on their own. No need to worry. Besides, it’s getting cold and you’re killing them if they are exposed on the surface and need to expend energy burrowing down for winter.

Yo I truly wish I could get that kind of compost going.
That’s perfect, try not to kill them though as they’re gonna die unless they’re under the ground.
