I bought this plant about 30 mins ago and I’m wondering if there’s too many plants in this pot. I would say there’s at least 10-12 but I’m not 100% sure. The pot isn’t massive and also doesn’t have a drainage hole so I was thinking about separating it into 2-3 pots to give it some room to breathe. I think I’ll give it a few days to get situated into our environment but I wanted some tips and tricks on how to separate if it needs to be separated. TIA!

I wouldn’t separate but that’s my personal preference. I like full bushy Pothos so all of mine are like this. I would repot into a pot that’s one inch larger than the rootball and use a chunky soil mix. I use a mix of potting soil, orchid bark and perlite.

Because there’s no drainage hole, I’d suggest repotting into two, as you mentioned (after she settles in). They’ll both be back to this size before you know it. Keep cutting back occasionally for lots of volume. It’s beautiful!

Hard to believe there is no drainage hole. Can we see the underside? Also, where did you get it. I’ve been eyeing these.

Please check to make sure there isn’t a pot within a pot it may be in a nursery pot with drainage holes! If there isn’t I would suggest just repotting in the same size pot if it’s not root bound and if it is just go up an 1-2 inches. I would also leave as is without separating them. they will eventually grow outwards into vines! We love a bushy pothos! AMAZING FIND!

  5. Just because it has multiple shoots, doesn’t mean that there’s more than one plant in that pot.
