Lavender newbie here. I have three separate lavender plants in this box. I bought them this year. I know they get pruned and go into hibernation for the winter but are they supposed to look this dead and dry? One of the plants actually turned like this ca two months ago and the other two followed suit maybe ca 3-4 weeks ago (apart from couple of springs you see here). Part of me thinks whether the box is too small for three plants and I should’ve only planted two? So, is my lavender just doing its thing or did i mess this up somehow? Thank u!

Mine looks worse than this every winter and it comes back in full force each summer!
too much water can kill lavender? Can water drain easily?
I think based on my limited experience it should be ok, but worst case scenario you could plant a new plug in the spring and it will still flower beautifully next summer
