If I had to bring some semblance of positive into this, them being real plants means they will actually rot most of their content when inevitably thrown into a landfill in January.

Two years ago for my birthday I was gifted a succulent like this, like the red one in the first picture: mine was painted in purple and blue, I tried to remove the paint but nothing worked.
I decided to try and keep it and hopefully help it grow out of the paint: to my surprise (and to everybody’s surprise, given the fact that I am famous for killing succulents just by looking at them), it grew and grew until it was green again! It took a good year and a half but now it’s big and green and fully spectacular 🙂

My boyfriend bought me one of those “cosmic cactus” it was actually a gasteria covered in bright blue paint, we had just started dating at the time and he meant well but I educated him and we removed all the paint and propped it and it’s doing so well now! I love it so much! A little rescue! lol anyway now he calls himself a plant dad. he’s fully indoctrinated.
