Hello everyone, I am just getting into hydroponics I got a second hand Lettuce Grow Tower on marketplace with no nutrients or diffuser on top but it still seems to be working well. I recently also transferred my tomato plants from a smaller hydroponic table top set up to the tower. (The tomato plants got too big) I was wondering if Fox Farm Hydroponic Plant Food was a good fertilizer to use and if I should combine it with something else? Like I said I'm a beginner and I would appreciate any advice I could get. Thank you!!

The ratio is okay, but the concentration looks low which means you’ll need to use a lot. Tomatoes need EC 2.0 and your plants looks dehydrated. I make my own from raw compounds so I can’t recommend an alternative but read around here and you’ll find some to save $$ on nutrients.

Get a good base nutrient – I’ve used House & Garden Aquaflakes for my herbs, lettuces & strawberries in water. I had to add a calmg for extra boost during big lettuces.

Pretty PH Stable, I was running 5ml of each a&b (10ml total for House & Garden). I need to figure out how to use the bionova a&b with equal success. It’s pretty concentrated, so I blame me for not getting it dialed in.
