A neighbor was getting rid of this plant and I obviously couldn’t let them just throw it in the trash. Can anyone offer some insight as to what kind of plant this is and how to care for it? (Sun and water requirements)

monstera deliciosa. very easy and hardy plants but they do require a lot of sunlight. monsteras are a climbing/crawling plant. they need support as they grow and get bigger. they use aerial roots to do this , they attach themselves to tress so they can grow upwards and mature. for watering you can let it dry out all the way then water completely through.
