Was trimming branches from our mango tree that were extending into street. Found this on a lower branch underneath, out of view. What could it be for ?

Airlayer-someone wanted a clone of your tree.

  3. Wow! That’s shitty that some sneak would do that to your property! Id be upset and want to find out who…!?

Someone wanted a free tree. I wouldn’t sweat it too much as they lost out. If they would have at least had the courtesy to ask you, they would have been successful. If you want to be a wise guy, put this mold around a branch that’s visible from the street on your side of the fence so they can see it but not get it. 😂🤣

You could do the same thing (air-layering) in the future if you wanted to clone your own tree! But you’d have to keep the soil much more moist. It looks super dry.

Air layering or marcotting. Someone is trying to get a free mango cutting from you. Basically tried to root it while it’s attached to the main tree.
