Never had String Of's before bc I know my limits… this was a gift though so I've done my best. Apparently it's happy if it's about to flower (I assume that's what the buds are, correct me if I'm mistaken!) but the male pattern baldness effect is unfortunate. I haven't had success in water propagating strands that have broken/fallen off- I would have used propagated bits to help fill in the center. She's in just about the brightest light I can get without putting her outside (I don't think she'd survive, I live in Zone 9a with 4 months of the year regularly having weeks of 100°+ weather) Advice on helping her fill out or just rock the look?

String of Watermelons 🍉
You just take one hanging strand, and place it on top of the soil. Then gently push it down. Don’t smash it, it just need to be in contact with the dirt.
Keep doing this until it’s not longer bald.
Then you wait for it to root.
They’re very easy to propagate in soil this way, because they’re crawlers not climbers.
Cut all the flowers off as they pull the energy from the plant. The top needs more sun. Water less, water deep. They thrive on neglect
