It was placed by Nick Thomas-Symonds, MP for Torfaen, as a tribute to those who lost their lives in service to the nation.
Launched in 2021 by the speaker of the House of Commons in partnership with the Royal British Legion, the Garden of Remembrance allows each MP to lay a cross on behalf of their constituency.
Mr Thomas-Symonds said: “It’s a solemn privilege to lay a Remembrance Cross on behalf of the people of Torfaen to remember those who gave so much for our freedoms.
“I know how important the time of remembrance is to our communities and veterans in Torfaen.
“Thank you to the speaker of the House of Commons and the Royal British Legion.
“They are ensuring that those who have made the ultimate sacrifice will remain in the forefront of our minds and that those who continue to serve, and our veterans, will be honoured.”
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, with the Royal British Legion paying special tribute to the generation who served during the conflict, including British, Commonwealth, and Allied forces.
