so I want to show you one of my favorite flower beds and it’s actually quite new we planted this in Spring and it has really grown nicely together notice we plant very close the different plants so it really has that um Cottage Garden look with a bunch of different colors so you really get a lot to look at but also these plants are really great for the insects as well it’s humming with all the bees and different insects and and one of them that we have right here is the raet blomst Lemon popsicle really a nice looks like lemons and has this like like from a different planet look like the foliage is really spiky so that’s also something we looked into when we planted these ones that the folage is different like compared to the uh Lupine over here really different folus as well but of course also the and you could go ahead and have here we have like almost like a two twotone pink but you could also add a white one if you rather have that you can really add a lot of different colors uh in a mix like this and this flower bed is around 10 square uh meters and we have added a lot of different plants together and also here in the back another great combination here is the um Soul head here uh Sombrero really nice contrast to the like it gives a warm color compared to the loopin and also the raet plumps over there the yellow so that really flowers and all these um really like full sun because we have a lot of direct sun here the W from the trees and it’s just in combined in the in the lawn here so it gives this pop of color and notice this one here also the Indiana M called Blue Fortune how it just like attract so so many different kind of bees and it gives a nice CIF flowers for a very long time and you can see here this is only like uh around three big plants we made we planted them very when they were very tiny and now they are really big and taking up a lot of space and gives a good compact in this flower bed here one of the things that I really like about this it’s only about 10 square m but it’s really packed of course I don’t work here the cemetery Garden but LS does uh but yeah but a lot of people have asked us you know how do you plant so close together maybe your garden isn’t so big and I think this is a great example of a really small space planted really tight together and really quite impactful still here you know really at the end of summer and I just want to now I showed you some of the taller ones on that side I just want to show you some that’s on this side here here’s a low one what is really great uh what we have done throughout the whole um in the different flower beds like repeating some of the different plants and the colors of of course uh but also having perennial grasses we have a really low growing uh pampas grass here and it’s actually not only for the folish but look over here it’s actually first coming now with these big uh puffy this is going to be opening up very soon and I’ll give a really like a actually a show stoer to this one because that’s a low normally pampas grass a really tall but since it’s a very small flower but we don’t want it to overtake so that’s going to be all the way in a so also in Autumn into even into winter so think about when you do like perennial flower beds add some different textures foliage colors but also like you have grasses with some we call them ax so you have like some really decorative also that the bird later on will eat and what some other things that’s about finished now but still gives really pop of color with this um with the seed Parts here is um a Lio Millennium here really pretty and just very sculptures as well so we’re going to leave those here and here in the front we have another thing we have a Alon Road here uh also really with a folage again look at different colors this almost like Black I really like this one as well and it stands right out here and gets these really thin light flowers but then later on even the folage is this is going to be Evergreen have really give color even in Winter and next to the little rud beia here really pretty very low variety and just really gives a pub of color here before some of the the asers will take over in in a purple color here so we will have something to look at all year round actually done a really great job with these combinations LS thank you you and the team should be really happy so this is one you’ve also done it in a smaller scale why don’t we go over and show a few of those let’s do it so one that really gives color like I said in the other flower but we have one variety of the estas that’s flowering now and some of the varieties of estas will flower all the way in September October so do really think about give your garden some pop of color there in when some most of the perennials are really finished flowering and we also have the the starb here the uranium that’s still flowering here has set a lot of seed pods you could go ahead and just remove those because it really keeps flowering but it has this kind of um ster niip has very very pretty folage not really biger like some of the um star niip has very big folage this has really nice small that really fits into this flower bit and next to that one also here that’s also attract a bunch of insects is the canel here also great great for insects and I also keep just deading the just removing actually the the ones that’s finished flowering the grayish ones here and then it will produce a bunch more and all the bees are just very busy in in this one as well and this is a really nice little tight square there’s some other ones let’s head over that one right over there okay here’s one where you you can really see yeah the neopia the Lupin that blue Fortune everything’s really coming in and this is another tiny Square how big is this one this one is four actually but we notice we still have the same kind of flowers here uh in this smaller space and they keep flowering we also hear dead head a lot so we really have a lot of of uh flowering throughout the whole season so it’s really doing well this one as well and gives you can see the same colors going again and we have around one three four five like three smaller ones like this of four and then two um of the a little bit bigger ones at 10 exactly and you can see how closely together things have been planted and again it’s new so not everything is quite in just yet and we do like when they start to be finished the loopin here before they said uh seeds here they we remove them because then they keep we can count 1 2 three four new uh flowers coming here so it’ll just keep going so it’s really good with this dead hitting all the time beautiful colors y’all picked thank you so here we have another favorite flower beds this has really like soft forms some of them are bigger more like banana shape some are smaller but you can walk around in them but for all of them it’s really also here cutter style uh look you have a mix arrays of different kind of perennials and we also here have like a a grass that’s really great that uh perennial grass that will come again it’s a a fountain grass really nice and has these really uh looks like a bottle cleaner here really nice contrast to some of the panels and here we have like a h flocks in a really give some height here really gives a nice uh look and warmth to the flower bed and right in front of that one actually that creeps more in between all of them and gives a little wild look is the geranium Rose sand attracts a lot of insects and if you want penel that flowers for a very long time rosan is just the one to pick and more behind here we have some that has a second flower here is the salv Stout Salvia here is really pretty almost finished but had purple ones and that’s really great next to this yellow hood B here that also flowers really long time now some of the them has finished and now other ones are taking over that’s also why we plant very close and mix of different kinds of perennial so you get for sure that you have a lot of flowering throughout the whole season and more one that goes Thrones up here in gives some height yeah this is sort of the center of the flower bed and it’s actually about to be finished but still gives a lot of uh beautiful color is a white Indiana Mund uh and it’s also like gives a takes up a lot of space but also um does need any staking and it was white and really goes well with these o other colors we just had and to think this flower bed was just planted this year right didn’t you guys do this in the start of spring we did it in the beginning of Spring and it was just a lawn here so we just moved the turf bely and added some um rid soil and then we plant these right in and some of them are still flowering here we have some delphiniums here that’s crazy that the delphiniums are still flowering so that’s really keep on going and it’s really pretty next to the to the PO Pou head and all the bees are just super busy in them and in front of that one we have actually some Sana scam here that gives this is a nice one so gives a nice com look to the to the more pink ones we have over here and we have some ker scale Hood that’s finished flowering but the folage is still nice but it had a really 2 m tall that’s a really really pretty one that was a nice one but it’s sadly finished but that was yeah as tall as me that flowered very early on but the folus is still gives it’s a nice green look we have another kind of um that gives a a bit color here another kind of H flock here next to the fer so that’s also a nice combination as well actually and here in front we have another beautiful s scam here so that combination here is well also works really nicely got this whole flower bed I want some Sedum down there at the bottom let me see if I can get all of it so this is one of those banana shapes yeah that Lars talked about here’s another interesting shape kind of a triangle and all of these just came out of the lawn so this was just grass there’s a lot of grass here at the Garden but if you’re looking for a way you don’t have much space looking for some great combinations you could easily just turn your Turf over leave it for a season and then uh pop in some plants instant Cottage Garden any shape you want so true here we have one that really because it goes right to the if you have no stone or any division to your lawn so we we keep going to uh like here to kind of move a little bit I don’t mind that it grows a little bit out but here we have ped twit with pink flowers and all the bees are just so busy in them very low but quickly spreads so what we do kind of every second week we we have a machine you can also have like a spade but really make the edges really sharp because once the grass grow into the flower bed but the flowers also grow out on the lawn so do if you keep that really sharp look that will really give a nice look to your flower bed if you have it like this growing from just grass into the flower bed so do keep the edges really sharp then nobody will notice your have a little bit of weeds actually have a sharp uh edge here and that really pop the this flower but even more so we need to do that because it has been a I wasn’t going to say anything no but it’s we’re going to do that so uh that’s uh well I know it’s super busy around here it’s a massive how big is this Garden we have a 42,000 uh quad meter yeah that’s a big one yeah I’ll be sure to put it in in the description but yeah it’s really big there’s a l to do so no one’s judging that the the edging isn’t done on every single flower bed okay so I’m just going to show the last great combination that works well here that is actually that’s just started to flower is the S huat really pretty and you can get those in whites in this pinkish color even dark foliage and this one really flowers for such a long time and gives a nice contrast also here you get them a little bit taller and they are really nice and it works really well also with one that comes really late so we really do plan about having plants throughout the whole season this one comes a little bit late and just not even flowers yet and it has a white flowers it’s called suus but beautiful dark folet as well okay we have one more quick combination to show you but if you hear that thumping in the background can I we don’t know if you can hear it through these microphones but they’re building so fedesa is surrounded by ramp parts and they’re connecting part of the old ramp parts to yeah basically they’re connecting them with a new bridge super exciting that yeah but that way you can walk around all of fles all the ramp Parts you can walk without having to get off of them so normally it’s very quiet Town not today but that’s what’s happening so and anyway back to for the bridge okay but here in front want to show the last combination here is like a GM really pretty because the not only also you can get them in so many different colors but the folage is also really nice and also great for ground cover really low here in the front and in the back here we have like with these sared uh leaves here is Iris and also you can get in so many different colors but it just even though it flowers very early this one in the spring it’s just also very nice contast with these the green foliage here and next to the if you move a little closer is the scum blums also just really nice with a like has little um play in the in the folage here some veins here that’s dark and then these really puffy white flowers as well so there you have it lots of stuff to look at really excited about these it’s the ones we showed today it’s their first season but it’s some great combinations so hopefully you can be inspired with even a small space I know it’s a huge huge Garden but if you think about each flower bed as an individual surely there’s some inspiration that you can take back to your own garden so thanks so much for watching we’re glad to have you here so talk for day

  1. Lars, you and your colleagues keep the cemetery garden looking wonderful. Lots of hard work but it is paying off. I am sure that the visitors get some comfort knowing that their loved ones have such a beautiful resting place. Great filming Allen.

  2. Very beautiful guys, some great combinations and very colourful. I bet it doesnt feel like work amongst all those flowers 😍💚

  3. I really appreciate the plant names on the screen. 👍
When I see something I like, I save a screenshot of the plant as you display the name.

Thank you for taking the time to film and edit – these videos are such a happy spot on the internet. 💚

  4. The Agastache 'Blue Fortune' 3-plant cluster looks amazing. I've been trying to find a perennial that would reach 3' to place in the back of our newly formed full-sun perennial bed from last season. It looks like Blue Fortune may get close to that height.

  5. As a South African I’m always so happy to see our indigenous plants in gardens all over the world. That Kniphofia is lovely.

  6. Oh my goodness! That’s so pleasing to the eye! Did you say this is new from the spring so you got all this growth in the first year? I can't believe the plants weren't large to start with, I am just amazed 😊 thanks for sharing ✌🏻I meant to ask, will they be too crowded next season or will you thin them out?

  7. I found your channel thru Crane…. and, boy, am I glad I did! Your flower beds are just stunning with the beautiful combinations of colors!

  8. Para mejorar la ansiedad irse para Cuba,no se cómo nos la arreglábamos allí para q teniendo tantas carencias, ansiedad y depresión nada, allí si te deprimes te mueres de hambre,así q tenías q tirar para adelante sea como fuera.

  9. I wish I could send you a picture of my plain hillside. I need a lot more of flowers. I get a lot of compliments in the spring but I want more flowers.

  10. Wow, what an awesome collection of beautiful combinations of plants. Great job dude, you have given me some great ideas of which colourful flowering plants to add to my garden, many thanks dude. Happy gardening .

  11. I'm not sure it's a great combination… It feels like you have too many spires, a couple of daisies, and there's 0 umbel. It feels like an assault on the senses, I'd rather have a more natural garden.

  12. Hvad hedder kirkegården? Jeg arbejde selv på en kirkegård på Djursland i lære som anlægsgartner og har fået til opgave at lave et 20kvm staudebed. Mvh Franz

  13. My Blue Fortune again in 2025 is much taller. I want to move it because of that. It is crowding a Dogwood tree. Beautiful new garden area. I like seeing the lawn mower robots. We don't have any nearby.
