I have this fig and I wanted to prune it to make it a little more symmetrical with the other ficus in the same pot. I thought about cutting right at the first leaf, so it would have at least one leaf, but I'm afraid that won't be enough and it will take too long to sprout again or die. Or should I cut a little higher up and leave at least four leaves? Considering it's spring here in the southern hemisphere, I think it would be a good time to do this, right? Another question is whether I can let it sprout new branches and prune it as if it were a slightly larger bonsai. Is that possible?
