you can grow right at home. Welcome back to our channel. Eating healthy isn’t always easy when junk food is just a click away. But what if I told you that you can grow fresh, healthy food right at home, even if you only have a window sill? In today’s video, we’ll explore 10 easy edible plants you can grow right at home. From flavorful herbs to nutrient-rich vegetables. Let’s dive in. One, basil. First up, basil. Basil needs warm and sunny spots with well- drained soil rich in organic matter. It needs regular watering, but don’t overwater. Soil should be moist but not soggy. Pinch off flower buds to encourage bushier growth and prolong harvest time. Perfect for pots on window sills or balconies. Two, carrots. Carrots need specific conditions to thrive. Loose, sandy soil free of stones for the roots to grow straight and deep. Carrots need full and direct sunlight, but can also grow under partial shade. Keep the soil evenly moist to prevent cracking and avoid overcrowding by thinning seedlings. Deep containers work well for home growing. Three, chilies. Chilies and peppers need plenty of warmth and sunlight at least 6 hours a day and well- drained fertile soil. Water consistently, but avoid soggy soil to prevent root rot. Pinch off early flowers to help plants focus on growing stronger stems. They do well in containers and require staking for support. Four, coriander. Coriander, also known as cilantro, prefers cool weather and well- drained fertile soil with plenty of organic matter. It requires regular watering, but don’t water clog it. To extend harvest, sew seeds every few weeks. Pinch off flowers to delay seed production and encourage leaf growth. Five, garlic. Garlic is planted from individual cloves in loose, well- drained soil with plenty of organic matter. It prefers full sun and needs consistent watering until bulbs mature, after which watering should be reduced to prevent rot. Garlic requires a long growing season about 8 to 9 months and is harvested when foliage yellows and dries. Six, lemon. Dwarf lemon trees are ideal for home growing in containers needing full sun 6 plus hours daily and well- draining soil enriched with organic compost. Regular watering, letting the soil surface dry before watering. Fertilize monthly during the growing season and prune regularly to maintain shape and improve air flow. Shoe 7, lettuce. Lettuce grows best in cool weather, ideally between 60 to 70°, 15 21°C, and benefits from partial shade in warmer climates to prevent bolting. It prefers well- drained fertile soil with regular watering to keep leaves crisp. Harvest outer leaves often to encourage continued growth. Eight, mint. Mint is a hardy, fast-preading herb that grows well in full sun to partial shade. Because it can become invasive, it’s best planted in pots or confined garden beds. Mint prefers moist, well- drained soil and benefits from regular pruning to keep the plant healthy and encourage fresh growth. Nine. Tomatoes. Tomatoes thrive in warm, sunny spots with at least 68 hours of direct sunlight daily. They prefer well- draining, nutrient-rich soil with consistent watering, but avoid water logging. Use stakes or cages to support growing plants and prune regularly to encourage better fruit production. Cherry and patio varieties are great for container gardening. 10. Spinach. Spinach prefers cooler temperatures between 50 to 70° 10 to 21°C and partial shade in hotter climates. It grows well in loose fertile soil with good moisture
