There seems to be pits and discoloured areas as well as the tips that’s soft and discoloured

Has looked like this for a while now and I live in the UK

Watering – check with moisture meter and when dry; water till some water comes out the bottom, leave it for a bit then empty the excess
(Maybe a bit irregular with the process but mostly this) maybe every 2 weeks

South facing window so lots of sun in the summer not so much in the winter

Some of the spots look like kitty nibbles, but others, I’m not sure. Maybe fungal? It sounds like you might be watering a bit too often. People are going to jump on here about the moisture meter, but it’s a handy tool. But you don’t need to water just because it’s dry. Like, if it’s totally dry, then wait another 3-4 days to make sure it’s extra dry. Then water. Maybe aim for every 3-4 weeks and see what happens?

If it is fungal, you’ll need a fungicide to treat it.

sometimes snake plants show brown/soft tips when they’re overwatered. maybe check if the soil is staying too wet between waterings? they’re pretty drought resistant so u can go even longer than 2 weeks.
