Coming up to one year, a little shrimp home!

I had to take a five year break, thanks to moving countries, and I'm so happy to have a shrimp jar again!

It's gone through many changes, a few different scapes, and sadly one shrimp catastrophe when my sister's kids looked after them for a month (the mini-filter packed up and they didn't notice).

But right now there's 20 red shrimp in there, and a handful of babies!

The water is amazing for house plants, but I do try to leave it untouched apart from a water change. Tbh I'd not water change except the house plants do really well from it.

Originally I had skittles shrimp in it, but now they're all red cherries, and all swimming around happily at night.

One of those tiny Amazon heaters also keeps it at 21°C all the time, and I'm probably overdoing the lights at 12 hours a day, but it's never got algae so I'm staying with it for now.
