Sorry in advance for the somewhat idiotic question but some of these branches from a cherry laurel (I think) are very thick. Could I possibly reuse them and replant and let them grow?

They won’t grow. Willow would but not laurel.
Take some cuttings instead 👍
Not a chance tbh.
I would cut the thin branches off and make a nice wood pile somewhere
No and don’t plant anymore. It is horribly invasive.
