This pothos has been in my vase since it was a cutting and now it has 5 leaves. I changed its water 3 weeks ago and added liquid fertiliser a week ago.
I just noticed these things swimming and crawling when i moved the jar. I am so freaked out right now, I wanna cry. What are they and how do I get rid of them?
The red one u see is a branch of Poinsettia that broke off from the parent plant so i dunked it in the jar to save it from dying.
Please help.

They’re the larvae of a mosquito species; I’d change the water & put something over the exposed lid so the females can’t access the water.

    Might be fungus gnat larvae

That plant cutting doesn’t look like a pothos, are you sure it’s not a poinsettia?

    Mosquito larvae.

Just replace the water regularly. 3 weeks is too long for water replacement. I’d suggest once in a week.

    Mosquito lavea (baby mosquitos)

Drop some mosquito bits in the water and it will keep them from returning

Mosquito or if you insist you dont have mosquitos it might be the larvae of a related specie.

they’re admittedly really cute but are unfortunately mosquitoes

Pretty sure those are Aedes aegypti larvae. We have a lot of those here in Brazil

if you keep tro[ical fish you can just dump the larvae-infested water into the tank. Fishies will eat the little varmints.
