Forgive me in advance as I've forgotten the names of my succulents. It's clear which succulents are flourishing, and which are struggling (the one in the back right for example).
As these plants are much more mature than when first planted, I am noticing some interesting growth patterns.
Is it possible some of the succulents are getting too much light? (The front right one, and the one to the left of the cactus for example)
By the way that they are reddening, and almost shrinking back from the light, is over-lighting them possible?
Is there any small changes I could make to make this a more successful succulent garden? I am enjoying a generally hands off approach to not moving anything and letting nature take its course. At the same time I want to steer it in the right direction for years to come.
The plants are watered heavily once every 2-3 weeks (about 3 quarts of water). I suspect this is why the succulent in the back right isn't doing well, as I recall it needed to be watered more often. Unfortunately I placed it next to a succulent that needs much less water.
After about 14 months, I started a very light fertilizer regimen every 6 weeks or so of a cactus fertilizer.
This is the LED Grow Light I am using. Its on 100% power for 13 hours a day. I've actually slowly reduced it from 16 hours/day over the last year.

the ones that are struggling are doing that cause they have lower light needs/higher watering needs than the rest. the only way to deal with that is to move them out of the planter, cause like if you alter the care to cater to them then the ones that are doing well rn will start to struggle. some plants are just incompatible with each other
Wow I REALLY love this planter and want to make one like this or similar (but longer) to put in my patio because I love the “garden” approach of mixing many different succulents together in one big “pot” vs multiple separate pots individually
Not sure of the actual name of the succulent but I saw a listing online for the little curly sprout looking one in the back on the right side & it said in the description that this succulent goes dormant!!! It’s just resting & will come back greater
How much does it cost to run a setup like that?
Do you have the lights on a timer?
I wish I could help, but I’m new to succulents myself and learning all that I can. But I do want to say, your garden is so very lovely! Ill be following your post in hopes that you get the answers you need, and I’ll learn along with you. I’ll be looking forward to seeing your success!
Such a pristine garden. I love it!
That’s awesome
Turning purple is fine sun stress is okay for them. I’d definitely consider the nursery pot idea someone else suggested for watering issues though!
