Tulip season might not burst into colour until spring, but time is running out for gardeners to get bulbs into the ground. In fact, now is one of the best times to prep beds and plan displays, and we’ve just spotted a deal that makes the wait a little more exciting.

Shoppers can currently pick up 60 tulip bulbs for £28, down from £52, thanks to Hayloft’s exclusive Bumper Tulip Collection. The deal is available through Yimbly, the online marketplace owned by Reach PLC, parent company of DevonLive.

That’s a hefty saving for anyone dreaming of a brighter, bolder garden next spring. The collection features a colourful mix of tulip varieties, differing in shades, shapes, and petal styles, ready to transform borders and pots into a vibrant spring display.

Tulips are best planted in autumn, ideally in October and November, when the soil is cool but not frozen. For those new to gardening, the Royal Horticultural Society has plenty of tips on how to grow them here.

In addition to Yimbly, there are numerous places to shop for bulbs. Suttons, for instance, offers a wide range of flowers, including this Tulip ‘Everlasting Mixed’ pack, which contains 16 bulbs for £5.98, down from £19.98.

The pack contains 60 tulips selected in a variety of colours and forms.

Otherwise, Thompson & Morgan offers a wide variety of options. That includes everything from tulip bulbs and daffodil bulbs to allium bulbs and begonia tubers.

Back to Hayloft’s Bumper Tulip Collection, the flowers don’t have loads of reviews via Yimbly. However, this shopper shared: “All planted in big patio pots and can’t wait for the spring.” And a second person remarked: “Pack arrived in good condition and healthy-looking bulbs.”

For those new to Yimbly, the marketplace boasts numerous TrustPilot reviews. This buyer commented: “Easy ordering and payment, delivered in good time, very happy, product arrived well packed.”

Meanwhile, this customer said: “Yimbly were brilliant! They kept me updated without prompting, and when I paid for fast delivery on an item that didn’t arrive in time, I received an email response from a real person, who refunded the charge without issue.

“The products are fantastic, I love them. I wish I’d found Yimbly much earlier, as they’ve been a pleasure to purchase from and deal with.”

However, some have had difficulties with delivery. This customer said: “The lady on the phone was very helpful and polite, and had good customer service. I had no issue with her. The issue that I had was with the two delivery drivers; they did let me know via text that they were on the way.”

But on a more positive note, this Yimbly shopper said: “Good quality products. Great choice. Easy-to-use website for ordering. Dispatched quickly.”
