It’s relatively normal for a calathea. They’re dramatic and love to get crunchy on their leaves if their humidity drops 0.000001%.
Kidding, kind of. It’s likely a humidity issue. Otherwise, it looks pretty healthy to me. I use an evaporative humidifier that runs 24/7 and doesn’t get ruined by my hard water (though the wicks can be kind of pricey to replace often). My calatheas are no longer crispy.
Except my pinstripe. I don’t like her and she doesn’t like me. She won’t die and she won’t thrive so she’s just forever in time out.

Totally normal, but could be exacerbated if you have fluoridated or hard water. Salt-based water softeners are also no good.
