I’m not in a position to re-do my patio at the moment – just to preface that we’ve recently moved in and this wasn’t done by us! I’d like to do something if I can to stop the weeds, ideally cheap that I can do myself that’s a step above just picking and killing them. I have other plans to greenify the rest of the garden.

I’m no expert but I’d attack this with weed killer. When dead pressure wash the patio. Re grout if necessary easy job just sweep it in and let it set hard. then seal it with a patio sealer
It’s 5minutes of work with an old kitchen knife.
10 minutes if you stop to have a cup of tea.
Or get an off brand pressure washer from Aldi.
Put table salt along the cracks just before some rain works a treat.
Weed it and repoint after
