The Safari Harvest is here to replace the previous batch of Halloween updates in Grow a Garden. This new update revolves around contributing certain plant types to Safari Joyce for rewards. You’ll get all sorts of new Safari-themed plants, pets, items, and even a fourth save slot in this update. Find out all about them, the new season pass, the Safari shop, and how to participate in this event!

What to Know About the Safari Harvest

Grow a Garden Safari Harvest Event.jpg

The new Safari Harvest event is similar to past events we’ve had, where you have to exchange a specific plant type. This changes every 30 minutes with an NPC asking for a different plant type. In this case, you’ll get a random reward per 500 points worth of plants you give to Safari Joyce.

She’s near the center of the island by the giant stack of cargo containers. Speaking with her will give you two options to give her plants: “Submit held plant” and “Submit all plants”. Choosing to submit all plants will make her take every relevant plant from your inventory that she’s currently looking for.

You can tell what plant she’s collecting by looking at the cloud bubble above her head. It’ll say something like, “looking for Berry Plants”. Giving her plants will also contribute to the Global Safari Points across the whole Grow a Garden community. We’ll explain that more in a moment! The amount of points contributed toward your 500-point reward is based on the rarity of the plants you contribute. Here are the points based on previous similar events:

Common – 1 Point Uncommon – 2 Points Rare – 3 Points Legendary – 4 Points Mythical – 5 Points Divine – 6 Points Prismatic – 7 PointsWhat Are Community Milestones in Grow a Garden

Grow a Garden Community Milestones.jpg

Aside from earning rewards for every 500 points you contribute, you’ll also unlock Community Milestones for reaching certain Global Safari Point amounts. For example, when the community reached 250,000 points, it unlocked the Orange Delight seed in the Safari Shop. Other milestones include unlocks like more items, weather events, and shortening the Safari Shop restock timer.

The cool part about this is that you don’t need to do it on your own. Every time someone contributes plants to Safari Joyce, the number will go up, even if you’re not currently playing! We’ve included the table below to show all of the milestones, allowing you to check them off as they’re completed!

All New Pets in the Safari Harvest

Grow a Garden Safari Egg.jpg

One of the best parts of every Grow a Garden update is always seeing what new pets and plants we can collect. To get the new pets below, you’ll need to get a Safari Egg. You can buy one from the Safari Shop if it’s in stock, or get them as a reward for contributing 500 points’ worth of crops to Safari Joyce. Even though the chances are a bit low for that reward.

Aside from the Safari Egg pets, there are other new ones that you can get in the new Season Pass. This requires completing daily tasks and collecting fruit to level it up.

All New Seeds and Plants

According to the Safari Harvest patch notes, there are 12 new seeds that you can get! Some are part of the Safari Shop, one is in Sam’s Seed Shop, and others may require progressing your Season Pass. Here’s a list of all the new seeds and plants you can start searching for to place in your garden:

Trinity Fruit Thornspire Wyrmvine Ghost pepper Buddhas Hand Baobab Viburnum Berry Protea Banana Orchid Orange Delight Buttercup Horned RedroseAll Safari Shop Items

The Safari Harvest update introduced a new shop near the center of the island. Unlike the previous Ghoul Garden updates, this one doesn’t seem to disappear and reappear. However, it does have a long stock reset timer of one hour, until the Community Milestone rewards reduce it. Until then, here are the different items you’ll be able to buy as they’re unlocked:

The New Season 2 Pass

Grow a Garden Season 2 Season Pass.jpg

Prepare to get a variety of new pets, seeds, and more as part of the Season 2 season pass. Some of the early rewards include an Armadillo pet, Horned Redrose Seed, and a Zenith Seed Pack. As explained in our guide on the previous season pass, you can progress it by completing daily quests and simply collecting crops.

The best way to level up your season pass quicker in Grow a Garden is to collect crops with mutations on them. Since you’ll have 35 days to complete this pass, we recommend playing during admin abuse events, prior to each update. They typically happen for an hour before the next update every Saturday. These are always filled with tons of events that apply mutations.

The Season Pass store also has new items to spend your Pass Points on. So if you’ve saved up a bunch from the previous pass, be sure to check out the new stock! This includes the expensive 3,000 Pass Points Wyrmvine seed.

What are Admin Quests

Grow a Garden Admin Quest 2.jpg

Shortly after the Safari Harvest update launched, the developers introduced Admin Quests. There’s a new red button on the left side of your screen that simply says, “Admin Quest”. Tapping this button will reveal a bunch of tasks that you can complete for a random Prismatic reward. Unfortunately, you’ll only have five hours to complete all of them to get a reward.

We’re not sure offhand if a new batch of tasks will appear after the five hours are up. However, if you manage to complete all of them, here are the different rewards you can get that all have an 11.11% chance.
