i don’t think any pepper plant would kill a cat, but the cat might very quickly learn not to bite pepper plants

Could be hot, or it could be a variety that is sold as decorative, but either way it’s basically the same as any other type of pepper you’d get from the grocery store

What the others said. Its ornamental. Breed to look cool but not for taste. Should be harmless but may not taste good

An ornamental variety of *Capsicum annuum*. They are often extremely hot and very bitter. The fruit contain capsaicin which can cause vomiting and irritation. The leaves and stems contain solanine. Definitely keep it out of reach.

A similar plant, *Solanum pseudocapsicum* is toxic due to solanine.

    Edited error.

Won’t hurt him, but he probably won’t bite it again

Wouldnt risk it – if it came from a flower shop-these things are loaded with pesticides

While I’m not an Expert and I know people have already said that it’s an ornamental pepper, this looks to me like a NuMex ornamental pepper
