Hi! My fiancé bought me a beautiful succulent as a gift, now I have no idea what I’m doing. I know some basic things from scrolling this subreddit, but it’s my first time posting here and I’d love some advice.
This is Suzanne the succulent. She’s about 2-3 months old now, and came just as a green bottom flower. Within a month, she grew her sprout and started her bloom. I’m lightly watering once a week sometimes twice if she’s looking a little sad, and she lives on my shelf in my kitchen at the window (moved her for photo purposes). She has light all daytime hours, and I’m planning on repotting her soon to something bigger- I never thought she’d grow like this! Other than that, I do absolutely nothing to her.
What do I do now? Her flower sprout keeps growing taller and flowering further down the stem. I’ve seen you can cut them off close to the base so the plant will focus on itself again. Would you guys recommend I do that here? Thank you!

The flower means shes happy, let her grow!
Other than that all id say would be to make to only water when the top few inches are dry 🙂
It looks fine. Be careful on that watering. Typically succulents are desert plants, so that’s the environment to try and replicate. Dry.
You can cut inflorescences off whenever you’d like, it doesn’t harm the plant. You can cut them off before they bloom, while they’re blooming, or after they’re completely done. Just…whenever.

Looks good.
Leave the flower stalk on until it dries up then snip it off near the rosettes . Your plant is an Echeveria a relative of the jade and money plants . Like them it likes a sunny location but not in direct sunlight for more than 5 hours – so a west facing window or conservatory would be good . If it’s getting too much sunlight it’s leaves will start to go pink, orange and then reddish . Water on average once a week . Touch the plant pot’s soil if it’s wet don’t rewater but if it’s dry water . Reduce watering during winter . Good luck .
