I started building a hydroponics app to help me organize and keep track of my plants. There currently isn't logging of ph/ec or other data available yet, that's next on the list. The reason for building the app is because my setup involves moving plants around the rails in order to best maximize space, where the incubation area is tightly packed, and it gets increasingly spaced out as I move the plants from the incubation area into the rest of the rail. You can see this rail design on the Rack Top garden of the video.
Therefore, it was helpful for me to have a visualized approach in an app where I can see precisely where on the rail a given plant is, and when it was planted so I know which ones need harvesting first. I have this designed mainly for a tablet interface so that as I walk around my rails I can carry the tablet and manage the plants in the app right there.
I've currently got 4 separate sets of rails, 3 of which are being used for strawberries, and the 4th holds basil, mint, cucumber (not quite working out), lettuce, and tomatoes.
If anyone has thoughts, questions, or feedback, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm still currently deciding whether to try and get this posted on the app stores or not.

I just wish one of these apps would be called Hooked on Ponics
