Berrigan township will be looked at Wednesday today to choose 5 gardens they think can win this competition. The whole shire will be judged on the 6th November.

They will be looking at gardens with colour, mulch and other features that work nicely together.

Come on Berrigan as the saying goes, Better in Berrigan.

Barefoot Bowls is back starting from last Wednesday.

Join in for a relaxed, friendly competition, everyone is welcome and all levels of bowlers are encouraged to play.

Teams of three for a 6.30pm start, $10 entry which includes a sausage sizzle.

This is the perfect way to unwind, meet new people and enjoy a classic fun filled evening.

United Hospital Berrigan will be hosting the Melbourne Cup Day Luncheon on November 4 at the Berrigan Community Golf and Bowls Club .

The day will start at 12 noon, come and enjoy a lovely two course meal, complimentary bubbles on arrival, with a lucky door prize, Lady of the Day, Hat of the Day and race sweeps throughout the afternoon, cost is $45 per person.

Funds raised for the day will help support our local health service.

The Berrigan Shire is inviting the community to take part in a new series of informal drop in sessions – Coffee with a Councillor.

This a great opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, raise concerns or say hello.

There are no speeches or formalities, just genuine, one on one conversations with your local Councillors about the things that matter to you and your community.

Berrigan’s Coffee with a Councillor will be held at the Berrigan Bakehouse Friday November 7, 9am to 10am
