Yay for the new growth! That is amazing! Sometimes if the air gets a little dry, the new leaf growth can stick to itself as it unfurls causing a really tiny tear. But that tiny tear will eventually cause the larger damage you see on your new leaf. I would leave it as it and keep an eye out if it happens again. A small humidifier nearby can do the trick to keep those newer leaves unfurling without getting too dry / sticking to themselves.
