I know I should repot, since it definitely looks like it's in a way too big of a pot. Alocasias are finicky so I'm so scared to kill her! I'm getting better at keeping alocasias alive (or not letting them unlive themselves) so I bought her!

Advice is greatly appreciated and accepted.

If the soil is good chunky and draining well. I’d leave her alone she looks very happy.

Frydek was my first expensive-for-me plant so I was also scared. This plant has pretty easy to take care of though compared to some others!

The soil looks a bit dense and soggy but it could be because maybe it was just watered?

If you just bought her, let her acclimate as you know alocasias are finicky and dramatic. I know it’s stressful to see a small plant in a big pot with soil like that but if there’s no immediate issue, I wouldn’t repot. Give her bright indirect light, heavy on indirect because of the small white leaves, and have good airflow and that’ll help with the moisture. After a week or two, if you see any issues with the plant, the inspect the roots and maybe give a repot.

When you do repot… Use clear nursery pots!! Helps you monitor the health of the roots and it’s pretty awesome to watch the roots grow too NGL lol 🤣🍃💚 look happy ATM, I’d wait at least 2weeks then id throw it in a smaller pot with some CHONKY soil mix!!! GOOD LUCK,
