    Squirrels and birds that eat certain flowers, fruits, etc. can bury or crap them out and you get things sprouting up.

    Yes! I’ve had some sprout under my bird feeder in early summer.

    With it being fall, I’m not sure how long it would last, but maybe you could build a small greenhouse for it with wood scraps and plastic.

    A lit tea candle should keep it warm in below freezing temps. Just be careful that the heat doesn’t burn the plant or the plastic.
