We are very much now into the colder weather – and living in the country comes with it some unfortunate side-effects — including the fact that field mice like to seek warmer, drier places to live over winter.
While we’ve been very good at keeping our home rodent-free, some gaps that developed in the summer in our air vents to the house crawl space led to some unwelcome visitors making a home there – and one decided to choose the perfect, if smelly place, to spend its final moments, most likely after a last-supper of bait. Here’s how we dealt with it – and how we’ve sealed the hole up… albeit poorly, for now.
