This plant has severe rot, it was under the care of my parents and I didn't notice it until this morning and the whole thing is rotten, with only a few living leaves. At first I thought that the stem on top was salvageable, but it seems that the stem has completely rotted away as well. I only have a few leaves left, but they've got rotting at the base.

So my question is: can I chop off the rotten bits of the leaves, disinfect with hydrogen peroxide and propagate them? I'm asking here because my goal is to propagate in hopes of saving something at least, but I don't know if this particular plant can be propagated by leaf cuttings alone or if I need stem tissue.

  1. Doesn’t hurt to try!! Then youll have an amazing story and lots of baby plants to sell or give as gifts!! Or make one huge pot like I would😂

  2. First pic had some really good prop candidates in it. Go for it! I have the best luck just setting them on soil and ignoring them.

The ones in the very last photo are salvageable, I’d just lay them on top of some soil and put them somewhere with bright indirect sunlight and mist a couple times a week til they start to show growth then back off the misting they don’t like a whole lot of water.
