I received some bonus seeds in a recent order – Lithops. I don’t have any of these growing but they seem a little like Lophophora in how they like to be treated?
The big question really is how to germinate and raise them. I was thinking to do a takeaway tek. Would that work for these?

I am not an expert so I refer you to a guide from one. Read [this guide from Steven Hammer](https://archive.is/seiHD). I recommend the whole guide as he is an entertaining writer, but to get right into seeds and Lithops, jump to section 9, especially 9.2 and probably 9.5. Then jump to the section titled “Lithops”.
The guide is still as solid today as when it was first published.
I have had good germination with heat sterilized well-draining soil (cooled overnight) and the baggy method, but all sorts of variations work taking Mr. Hammer’s advice into account, of course
