Just found out this sub existed, so I had to share one of my most favorite plants that I own. Albuca Spiralis (Frizzle Sizzle).
It’s not the most showstopping, huge plant, but I think it’s adorable in its own right! I adore the cute little curlies and its sweet, vanilla scented flowers. I wish I had a pic of mine fully bloomed, but the flowers are kind of bell-like, downward facing flowers.
Native to South Africa, it LOVES the sun— the more sun, the curlier it gets! They go dormant in the summer, revive in the fall, and flower in the spring (at least for me that’s the cycle!)
I bought my first one many many years ago (at least 2018, maybe earlier?) and have been obsessed since! These are older pics as it’s currently dormant 🪴🥲🩷
I’m currently working on sprouting up some new bulbs, so hopefully I get some sprouts soon since it’s already rooted!
